SecDim Has Been Selected As the Official Host for DEF CON AppSec Village Contest
Hey everyone, excited to announce that SecDim has been chosen as the Official CTF Host for the AppSec Village at DEF CON 32 conference on August 8-11, 2024 at the Las Vegas Convention Center!
We will be hosting our Secure Coding Wargame as the AppSec CTF, with prizes 
for the player with the highest points as well as the best challenge contribution.
Why New CTF Format?
CTF contests are fun and engaging, especially with young talent. However, CTFs usually end with exploitation of a security vulnerability with no mention of how the vulnerability can be fixed.
Possessing skills to fix and build secure applications is in high demand. However, code security and defence has traditionally been viewed as dry and boring. This perception makes it difficult for secure coding to be seen as attractive. We are changing that at SecDim.
Our vision is to empower and engage talent to help fix security vulnerabilities through showcasing the fun and challenging aspects of addressing a security vulnerability.
Who Can Join?
This is hybrid event. Whether you’re a coding newbie or a seasoned expert, all skill levels are welcome. This event is a perfect opportunity to learn, and get hands-on experience in securing apps and of course win some prizes!
